Be the Ninja... Keyboard Ninja that is

I was talking to one of my co-workers the other day and asked him what was something he'd like to know when using a computer, something that would make his life a little easier. He mentioned to me that he'd like to know, or have a list of keyboard short cuts. I started to tell him the ones I already knew, but then I figured I would just look around on the good ole interwebz and see what I could find. Here ya go Kenneth, calling ya out on my blog now become a follower...LOL

Portable Anti-Spyware Program

In one of my previous post I told you how to install PortableApps onto a flash drive and all the features that comes with it. Now my one and only complaint is that PortableApps does not come with an Anti-Spyware program so you can clean those extremely annoying spyware programs that cause repeated pop-ups, poor performance of your computer and put your personal information at risk. Well... have no fear, I've found the perfect portable Anti-Spyware program.

Free Office Suite

Why pay $150 and up for an Office Suite when you can get it for free. With school starting back very soon everyone is on tight budget, with clothing, books and tuition couldn't we all use to save a little money? OpenOffice is a free, multi operating system office suite comaprible to MicroSoft Office.

Fill your flash drive with PortableApps

Imagine being able to carry all your favorite computer programs around with you and be able to use them on any computer. For instance all those wonderful book marks you've got save in Mozilla Firefox could be carried around with you to any computer you use, all without leaving any personal information behind.

CD/DVD Drive Disappearing on Windows XP and Vista

I've worked as a computer repair technician for many years now and I've noticed a recurring problem with the CD/DVD drive icon disappearing from the My Computer menu. Now this truly can be an aggravating problem if you don't know how to fix it and usually sends you running to the nearest PC Repair shop for help. As a matter of fact it really isn't that complicated of a fix. Here's how...

Destroy your data on your old PC

With so many computers in use now days and the constant need to keep up with an extremely fast growing industry, everyone is buying new computers these days. But what to do with the old one? Selling it on Ebay or Craigslist is a great way to make a little extra cash, or giving it to a family member or friend is an excellent way to help out someone in need. But what about all the data that is stored on the hard drive? Everyday hundreds of identities are stolen, bank accounts drained and life savings blown by someone that has captured your private information. How can we cut back on this, how can you protect your self from future disasters and headache/heartaches? One way is to securely and completely destroy all personal data on your hard drive before you give/sell your old computer.
