Fill your flash drive with PortableApps

Imagine being able to carry all your favorite computer programs around with you and be able to use them on any computer. For instance all those wonderful book marks you've got save in Mozilla Firefox could be carried around with you to any computer you use, all without leaving any personal information behind.

Well now you can, with PortableApps you can load all your favorite programs onto a flash drive and take them everywhere you go and still have room on your flash drive for files and mp3's. You can even save your bookmarks on Firefox and have those available for you whenever/where ever you need. When you go to PortableApps.com there's a brief description of the software package, just click on the download now button and I've found that the Suite Standard is the best version to get.

Suite Standard edition comes with a web browser, office suite, email client, instant messaging client, antivirus, password manager, audio player as well as a couple games. Download the program like you normally would but when you install it there will be an option for you to choose where you want the suite installed.

Click on the browse button and select your flash drive, it'll be under the My Computer option. Just install the suite there and you're set to access your favorite programs on the fly anywhere you go. Once you've got it installed you'll be givin the oportunity to open up PortableApps then, I recommend opening it up looking around and familarizing yourself with it's functionality.

From here you can see all the programs you've got access to, each of them works just like you had it installed on your PC.
